The boss at Byson is Gwen Warr (nee Parsons).
Gwen received her first commission to make a garment professionally at
the age of 14 and since then has worked in almost all parts of the fabric
industry.
She has worked for Perugini Knitwear and
Irvin Parachutes. She has made ball gowns and engine covers. She has dressed
the girl behind the bar at our local pub and (as John Richmond's sample
maker) Rolling Stones and Divas.
With this very wide breadth of experience
behind her there is very little that she can't confidently execute.
Your telephone call will probably be answered
by John, retired R&D scientist, classic clothing enthusiast and husband
of the above. Having lived with the fashion industry for 20 years he will
be able to answer most of your questions, leaving Gwen to get on with
the clever stuff.
